Massage:
Peppermint oil used diluted in massage oil will have a cooling effect on the body to help soothe sore muscles. As it is a natural painkiller and muscle relaxant, it can also help ease fevers. It can help ease a tension headache or migraine.
Add 1-2 % (20-40 drops per 100ml) to TMA massage oil for general body application.
Skincare:
Externally, the essential oil is used in balms and salves to stimulate hot and cold nerve endings and increase local blood flow, helping dermatitis, scabies, burns. It is known to improve dull and oily skin while also soothing itching and minor skin irritations. Add 1 – 2 % (20 – 40 drops per 100ml) to cream, lotion or body butter for general application.
Haircare:
Peppermint oil added to shampoo or conditioner will have a stimulation effect on the scalp, helping hair growth and it can also thicken and nourish damaged hair.
Homecare:
Many smaller animals and insects don’t like the smell of peppermint, so this oil can help control ants, aphids, plant lice and types of beetles and mice. It is also a mosquito and flea repellent.
Diffuser:
Peppermint can help ease coughs, colds and headaches, nausea. It can help with insomnia, sinusitis, asthma, bronchitis. Add 2 – 5 drops to a vaporizer to scent the room.
